Wedding Celebrant for Yorkshire & the North of England

Remembering & cherishing those important times in your lives

Your Wedding

Crafting the most beautiful wedding ceremony for you both

Your wedding ceremony is a huge part of your day, and it is so important that all your wishes and dreams are crafted into an occasion which you will remember forever.

My wish for you would be a ceremony that is heart-warming and one which truly reflects all that you love and celebrate in your relationship and lives together.

I am passionate about inclusivity, and it is extremely important to me that your wedding is the ceremony and occasion that you have always wished for.

Everyone deserves to have a day like this, and I would absolutely love to work alongside you to create the ceremony you have dreamt about.

This is such an exciting time for you!

So, how will we do this? We will meet in person either online or face to face. I will look forward to hearing all about your wishes as we start to make plans together. During this time, I will always be contactable and very responsive to any emails or calls I receive from you.

It will be very exciting to hear all about how you met, how you got engaged and then more and more about your love and the lives your share together.

Have you started to think about any favourite locations?

A wedding ceremony led by a civil celebrant does not require a venue license, just permission (in case you are thinking about specific places), so you could have your wedding in so many different and beautiful locations.

You may already have some ideas about this, and I would love to hear everything about them. Take some time to think about the places you have visited together and what makes them so special to you both.

Creating a Ceremony That Feels Like You

Have you started to think about what you would like to include in your wedding ceremony? It is never to soon to start thinking about this. This is where it will get even more exciting.

Very simply, you can include so many different elements, and this is what will make your wedding ceremony unique to you both.

You might like a poem from Winnie the Pooh; you might prefer no reading at all.
You might be thinking about a very short ceremony, or maybe a longer one.
It might be an intimate gathering, or perhaps a large event.

There are so many amazing opportunities available to you, and it will be great fun exploring all of these with you both.

Important legal information

Wedding celebrants cannot currently bind couples in a legal marriage as part of the ceremony.

If you would like a registrar to attend on the day to complete the legal requirements, you will need to make this arrangement directly. When you tell them about the celebrant led ceremony they may choose to attend on that date and then the ceremony and registration can all happen at the same time. If a registrar does attend on the day, then you will need a venue with a license, which is a requirement for registration.

Sometimes, you might wish to attend a registry office in the days before your ceremony to complete your registration and be “legally married” but then have the amazing and wonderful wedding ceremony that we will plan.

Readings or poems

A celebration of the love that you share

Maybe a symbolic element

Your rings

You may wish to see your script before the wedding, and I will plan with you when you receive each draft. It’s ok too if you wish to just hear it for the first time on your wedding day.

We will be in touch very regularly, and please know you can email or call me at any time.

If your wedding is in a licensed venue, I will make contact and introduce myself to your wedding planner, photographer (and possibly a videographer) before your big day.

We can plan for a wedding rehearsal and have planning meetings throughout.

You can change your mind about content, and you may think of something to be added later, and I will do all I can to make that happen.

Your wedding vow renewal

You may be thinking about renewing your vows and I would be delighted to create a bespoke ceremony for you.
On our services page, you’ll find information about a wedding vow renewal, so please do make contact and we can talk about this in much more detail. I absolutely love these ceremonies and it would be brilliant to hear all about your journey together so far.

Why Choose Me?

Your wedding ceremony should feel deeply personal, beautifully crafted, and entirely centred around you. Every word, every moment and every detail will be thoughtfully designed to reflect your story, your values and the love you share.

From our first conversation to the moment you stand together on your wedding day, I will support you with care, professionalism and genuine excitement for what lies ahead. My role is not simply to lead your ceremony, it is to guide you through the journey with calm reassurance and heartfelt dedication.

The Heart Behind My Work

Although I am relatively new to wedding celebrancy, I bring with me 34 years of experience as a qualified nurse, supporting individuals and families through life’s most significant moments. Listening deeply, truly hearing people, and treating everyone with dignity and respect has always been central to who I am.

I believe in inclusivity, kindness and creating a space where you feel completely safe, supported and understood. I value family, love, friendship and loyalty - and these principles shape every ceremony I create.

It would be an honour and a privilege to be your wedding celebrant. If you feel we may be the right fit, I would love to arrange an informal chat and hear all about your plans.

If you’re ready, I am too…

Please email me or call so that we can arrange to have a no obligation chat. Please know that this will be really relaxed and I will just look forward so much to meeting you both. Then, we can go from there…
